Thunder 4 “Kiwi”

Stephen owes his nickname “kiwi” to the fact that he was born and raised in New Zealand. He flew as a fighter pilot for 10 years in the Royal Netherlands Air Force. His flying career started in 1982 via ENJJPT at Sheppard AFB, Texas, then NF-5 at Eindhoven with 314 Squadron. The F-16 at 312 Sqn. Volkel and 323 Sqn. Leeuwarden, where he was also an instructor. In the service of KLM from 1991 to 2016, where he flew on the B747-400 and B737. Between 1993 and 2019, Stephen also flew solo displays on a Glasair 3, NA-64 Yale and Sukhoi 29. In addition to flying the formation display with the DTY, he flies on the Fokker S-11 and has been part of the display for 20 years team of the Fokker Four. Total flight hours over 16,000.
